The Church and Convent of Pompeia, located at 450 Avinguda Diagonal, is a Franciscan (Capuchin) religious complex designed by Enric Sagnier Villavecchia between 1907 and 1915. The church, dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, is Neo-Gothic in style, featuring three naves separated by slender columns, a wooden roof, and a façade adorned with a relief by Josep Llimona, who also created the statue of Saint Francis of Assisi crowning the building. The convent, organized around an irregular cloister, combines exposed brick and natural stone. The complex was heavily damaged during the Spanish Civil War, particularly the church interior, which was later restored by Pere Benavent de Barberà, who added a crypt decorated with frescoes by the Capuchin monk Efrem de Kcynia.
