The Casa Bonaventura Ferrer, built between 1905 and 1906 by Pere Falqués Urpí, is a stunning example of Catalan Modernisme, located at 113 Passeig de Gràcia, on the corner with Riera de Sant Miquel. As Barcelona’s municipal architect, Falqués could not sign the project himself and therefore relied on master builder Lluís de Miquel Roca. The stone façade is notable for its large central bay window, linking the monumental ground-floor window with those of the main floor, all richly adorned with floral relief ornamentation. At the rear, facing Riera de Sant Miquel, a semi-circular gallery made of wood, iron, ceramic, and stained glass perfectly showcases the refinement and creativity of Barcelona’s Modernisme movement.
