Solc. Homage to Salvador Espriu

Solc. Homenatge a Salvador Espriu is a concrete sculpture created by artist Frederic Amat in 2014, on the occasion of the centenary of Catalan poet Salvador Espriu (1913–1985). It is located in the Salvador Espriu Gardens (Jardinets de Gràcia), near the obelisk popularly known as el Llapis. The work is conceived as the imprint, the exact negative that the obelisk would leave if it were to fall to the ground — a kind of “anti-monument.”
