Plaça Catalunya Metro Mosaic

Titled La rotonda dels transports, this mural covers a vestibule wall in Plaça Catalunya metro station. Produced in 1966 and restored in 2003, it consists of six stoneware panels in vertical and horizontal formats, depicting vehicles from across the ages — ocean liners, balloons, locomotives, bicycles, aircraft, submarines, automobiles — rendered in a naïve graphic style. The design is by Francesc Albors; execution was carried out by the Escola Massana, involving Maria Bofill, Elisenda Sala, D. Llenas, Ester Palomer and Carme Llobet.
