Casa de la Lactància

Designed by Antoni de Falguera and built under the supervision of Pere Falqués between 1908 and 1913, this building was created to provide care for newborns. It became an obstetrics clinic in 1968 and today operates as a residential care facility. The façade employs Gothic vocabulary and is anchored by a sculptural group by Eusebi Arnau — an allegory of nursing — alongside Barcelona's coat of arms in enamelled ceramics. The interior features wrought-iron grilles, Modernista stained glass, and mosaics by Lluís Bru. Architects Joan Pascual and Ramon Ausió carried out a restoration between 2014 and 2016, addressing both the original structure and the 1968 extension.
